Why did my ID fail review?

Since your ID has to be approved in order to verify your account, it needs to meet certain standards.

If the photo you uploaded does not fit the following requirements, it most likely failed review. Your ID needs to:
  • be a valid government-issued ID (passport recommended)
  • be of valid date (not expired)
  • show all four sides and corners
  • be clear, not blurry, with no glare
  • no watermarks, or crossing out of information
  • be an in-color photo
  • match the name on your Netcapital account
  • match the date of birth on your Netcapital account
    • Please note: The date of birth format on your account should be Month/Day/Year
Additionally, if your ID includes some of this information on the back (for instance, expiration date), please upload two photos of your ID— one of the front, and one of the back.
