Does Netcapital use Silicon Valley Bank?

Netcapital's escrow provider is Silicon Valley Bank a Divison of 1st Citizens Bank. All funds invested through the funding portal are held in escrow before being disbursed to an issuer upon the close of an offering.

All accounts are insured by the FDIC up to $250,000. This insurance applies to individual investors, not the total raised by the Issuer. In addition to FDIC insurance, all deposits are fully guaranteed by the Fed per public statements.

Our escrow agreement with SVB  has been established to protect investors. FINRA accepts the SVB escrow agreement, and for now, all parties involved continue to work with SVB, given that the cash deposits are insured against loss.
