I changed my mind. How do I withdraw my investment commitment?

You can withdraw on your dashboard up to 48 hours before a disbursement. If the company files for an early disbursement, also known as a Rolling Close, investors are given notice and have 48 hours before the new close to withdraw.

Investment commitments can be withdrawn up to 48 hours before the close of an offering. It is important to note for private funding rounds that the closing date is subject to change. You will be notified of any early closing, also referred to as a “Rolling Close,” by email before it occurs.

If you would like to withdraw your investment commitment, you must do so immediately. Rolling Closes are subject to happen in any offering, so you must act swiftly when you receive a notice of a Rolling Close. You will be unable to receive a return of your funds unless you request to withdraw the funds before to 48 hours prior to the date of the Rolling Close.

To withdraw your investment commitment in a company, simply head to your Netcapital dashboard. Find the investment commitment that you would like to withdraw, click on the “Actions” button on the right-hand side, and click “Withdraw Offer.”

After withdrawing, your funds will be returned typically between 3-5 business days. If you paid by card, you will receive your investment amount minus any non-refundable card processing fees.

If you paid by Wire or ACH transfer, the funds will be returned to your Netcapital Wallet. When your funds are in your Netcapital Wallet, you can either deploy these funds to a different investment commitment or withdraw your funds back to the bank account that the funds originated from.
