# Will I receive tax forms for my investments?
## Not usually. However, you may receive a 1099B from Netcapital, or a K-1 directly from a company.
Netcapital sends out 1099B forms only to investors who have sold securities on our platform.
K-1 forms are sent at the discretion of the issuing company and are emailed to investors if and when necessary.
Please consult a tax professional regarding how your investments may affect your taxes.
